The easiest Way to Create Articles – Public Domain!

There are many webmasters that find writing articles for their
site to be a very tedious task. Many people who needto write
articles also procrastinate as much as they can todelay the
amount of writing they need to do.

Many peopled read writing articles because they find researching
for the topic and writing down original materials will be too taxing
on them. You need to have your creative juices flowing and
simply downloading an article would be plagiarism or tantamount
to stealing, not exactly.

Have you ever heard about publicdomain?
These are articles written down by many authors that have
declared their works to be public domain, which means anybody
can use it for whatever purpose they want.

While most authors would prefer to copyright their work for
their rights, there are also a number who doesn’t mind sharing
their work. Public domain articles are not owned by anybody and
can be used and abused by anyone. The writers have waived
their rights to their works and it is out there for the public to
make use of.

You can use public domain articles in helping you write your
articles. With the public domain articles you can simply edit
them to your own style and rewrite them as you please to make
it suitable for your needs. All the ideas are there already and its
just a matter of finding the write article with the topic or subject
you need.

This is probably the easiest way to write articles. You don’t need
to scour around the library or the internet for hours for
information and start an article from scratch. For webmasters
who are looking for articles to fill their site and to generate a high
ranking for their website in search engine results, they can just
modify the article by infusing keywords and keyword phrases
related to their site.

A webmaster or website operator do not risk any chance of
getting sued for copyright infringement because they are public
domain, once again meaning that anybody can use it. Writing
articles by using public domain wont require as much work as
writing one from scratch would.

You save a lot of time also!

One good factor in using public domain articles for your site or
for any project is that you save a lot of money. You dismiss the
need to hire experienced and seasoned writers that some
website operators use to write their articles. While a single five
hundred worded article would only set you down 10 to 15 dollars,
this cost will drastically increase when you need hundreds of
articles to fill the needs of your site.

For those who needs articles to generate newsletters or an e-zine,
public domain articles will be very beneficial. You do not need to
count on your contributors or pay writers to write down articles
for your newsletter or e-zine. You can fill all the pages without any
cost or the worry of being sued and sought after by the writers.
You can simply copy the articles and place them on your
newsletter and e-zine.

Public domain articles are a virtual untapped resource that many
people fail to realize the true value. The power of articles,
keywords and keyword phrases have been deemed invaluable
these past few years for many internet based businesses and
sites that want to rank high in search engine results.

The number of article and content writers have grown
significantly due to the rise in the demand for articles. As newer
and newer topics and subjects have arisen, there are many
demands for new articles to be written. An industry has been
formed and this is a worldwide demand.

Public domain articles have given a great alternative for those
who are cash strapped as well as do not have the time nor the
skills to do their articles for themselves.

Searching for public domain articles is as easy as 1 – 2 –3. You
can search for them in search engines and do searches in many
directories for the topic or subject that you need. Read them and
simply copy paste them to a word processing program and simply
edit them to suit your needs.

3 Things You Must Do Before Submitting Your Articles

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start
digging up those creative writing skills back. With modern
communication technology comes the popularity of information-
based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective
techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting
them into buyers.

This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also
getting popular. There are already many tools that people can
use to make the process of distributing their articles more easily.

Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure,
which is only half of the story. Let us take a look first at the
common mistakes that some people make before submitting
their contents to article directories:

1. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason
to write them. In article writing, there are three key benefits
why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and
promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts. But
there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to
inform your audience.

If the article is not focused on this primary and most important
purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits
because no one will be interested in reading them. You need to
figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article,
then make them click on your resource box.

You can achieve this by producing better contents.

2. Failing to maximize the promotional opportunities of article
marketing. You may know already that your articles can help
you generate additional links back to your site. But do you know
that you can get more visitors and better search engine results
from that same articles? Mention keywords at strategic places.
Just be sure not to over do them. Some are even using anchor
texts which is also an effective method. But it is important to
know that majority of the directories are not able to support this.

Remember that is not only about the links back to yoursite.
Part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up
by publishers with a large number of audiences and gaining the
ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your
work. Better search engine results also are great benefits. But
these things do not put much money in your pocket. There are
other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an
opportunity thatcan boost your earnings.

Not just increase the number ofvisitors to your site. Start out
with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function
that you intended it to have.

3. Publishing content that does not help your readers. Maybe in
the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you
wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate
are fine. Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are
going to accept your content automatically.

Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the
articles that they are accepting. You can double the number of
sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories
want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with
a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience
overnight.

Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you
want your article marketing to work the most effective way
for you. This also means you have to obey the standard
guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even
hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf. In the
end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part.

You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back
but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little
extra time making quality contents. It will be your choice. You
may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on
directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as
highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of
people.

Learn the difference between these two and it will surely help
you know what kinds of articles to write and to submit.

4 Things Articles Must Have

The importance of articles in today’s websites and internet based
companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot in the success and
the drive of traffic into one’s site.

It has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit.
A website operator and owner must have the good sense to include
articles in his or her site that will work for them and earn them the
many benefits articles can giveto their site.

Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic
to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in
search result pages.

The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he
gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits
and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have
certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met
to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your
site.

A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your
customers and keep them coming back for more. They would
also be able to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your
articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must
have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a
profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

• Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword
phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who
are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific
something.

When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and
types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry,
Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they
want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the
keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you
maintain an auto parts site, you must be able to have articles
about cars and their parts.

There are many tools in the internet that provides service in
helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and
keyword phrases are mostly sought out. You can use this tool to
determine what keywords to use and write about.

• Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you
must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density
for a search engine to “feel” its presence. Articles should at least
have three to six percent of keyword density in their content for
search engines to rank a site high in their search results.

Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site. Keyword
density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is
used on an article. The number varies depending on the number
of words used in an article. An effective article must have a
keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high
density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader
as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low
number may be ignored by the search engines.

• Good Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with
keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials.
Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good
information and help for their needs.

Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good
grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good
and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great
information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written
article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field
or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust
you and your products.

• Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to
submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to
newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link
to your site.

A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you
should always be placed right after your articles that you have
submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click
on the link directing them to your site.

Add a resource box like this........

Making Money with Articles: Becoming an Affiliate

If you can either write articles or have the promotion and
marketing knowledge to publicize articles that others write,
becoming an affiliate for several companies may be a great way
for you to generate a good income right from your own home.

You can do this by receiving part of the revenue off of sales that
the company gets from people who “click through” from your
website via the company’s links that are placed on your pages.

Since you will be promoting a product or service, you will need
a killer sales pitch and website content to get your readers
interested in the product, convince them that they cannot live
without the product, and to keep them coming back to your
website time and time again for more recommendations and
your useful content, which will get them clicking on your links
once again.

Although many affiliate companies only give you money off of
the first sale you make from each customer, you have the option
of promoting a good range of companies so that you can still
make a profit off of your returning customers.

If you cannot write this kind of content of your own, there are
many ways to pick up free or paid content to place on your
affiliate website. There are many reasons why paying for such
articles would be to your advantage.

First, you will be able to tell the writer exactly what you want,
what product you are trying to sell, and what direction they can
go in to keep your readers interested and informed.

On the other hand, when you search for free content, you are
limited to what is already out there. Secondly, you will own the
copyright to this content.

That means that no one else can reuse it without your consent.
If you opt for free content, you will be sharing that content with
an unknown amount of other affiliate websites, plus the original
author will be able to place their byline at the bottom of the article
which could result in them stealing your traffic.

There are many products that have nice affiliate commission
rates for those who know how to pre-sale their product and
deliver click through customers who are ready to buy.

As long as you choose to promote a product or service that can be
very useful to a wide variety of people, then pre-selling your
chosen company may not be that hard at all.

The key in this situation may likely be getting those customers
to your website so that they have a chance to see your
recommendations and click on your affiliate links.

Writing articles without a website

When you are trying to make money through promoting articles and affiliate links, you will need a good, simple, and easy to navigate website to put them on. There are two ways that you can accomplish this: you can try to do it yourself if you have any web design skills or you can hire someone.

Doing it yourself, unless you were a pro to begin with, can be difficult for some. You will need to read many tutorials and it may take some time to get going. You could also risk having a site that looks very badly made and thrown together. It is also important (for visitors and search engines) that your site is easy to navigate, which may be a problem if you do not know what you are doing.

Making a Do It Yourself website can be hard, but if you accomplish your goal, maybe you will learn so much that you can write a few articles on it to add to a new DIY niche site!

Another way to go about this task is to set up a blog. You can go to blogger.com and set up a blog in which to place your articles after written.

Most article directories want to know where you are using the article prior to posting, or submitting, the article.

Blogger.com blogs are free and there are MANY tutorials on how to set up a blogger blog.

If your writing articles for sending traffic to a salespage for a product you are selling this can be accomplished on a blog also. Just put the link for the salespage at the end of the post (the article) and maybe somewhere in the middle of the post also.

The advantage of sending the traffic for the article to your blog before the salespage is that they will get to know you more before you ask them to buy. At your blog they will read several other things that you have written proving that you know what you are talkin about!

Be sure to add your photo to your blog like I have here. If you are trying to sell something, people want to and like to SEE YOUR FACE!!!! People feel more comfortable buying from someone that they can associate a face with.

For faster traffic than articles, try banner advertising

When you are trying to make money off of the articles on your website, it isimportant to effectively promote your site so that you will attract customers and they can see just what a good, quality site you have.

There are severalways so market and promote your website, one of them being though banneradvertisements.

What Banner Ads Can Do For You

Banner ads can help bring visitors from others sites to your own. Although monthly fees can be expensive to advertise on high traffic sites, in the end it may be cheaper and/or a faster way to start seeing significant revenue from your website efforts, rather than waiting for SEO techniques to bring your ownsite to the top of search engine results.

Aside from paying to advertise on someone else’s site, there are also free banner exchanges to choose from. We will look at the pros and cons of each banner advertising method below.

Free Banner Exchanges

Free banner exchanges are when you and other sites exchange each others banners.

Their banner will go on your site and your banner will go on their site. Although this option is free, there are two main problems with it.

First, if you want your banner on a significant number of sites, it will mean cluttering your own site up with these banners. This could even shoot you in the foot if you run an affiliate website because, instead of clicking on your affiliate links, your visitors may be clicking on your banner exchange links.

Secondly, you have to be really careful about the types of sites that you exchange banners with. Some sites like to gather a lot of banners so that they can be a directory or portal site and not have to have any real content.

These“banner farms” or “link farms” will do nothing positive for your site and, inthe meantime, you will be bringing them potential traffic.

Paid Banner Ads

As we said above, paid banner ads cost money, but they will eventually pay offif you choose the right ones.

You need to ensure that the site produces the amount of traffic that they say and that they have your ad placed in a way that invites visitors to click without being too pushy. You also want to choose asite that does not house too many other banners on the same page as yours or that there are no competitor links on the same page.

TIP....when purchasing banners ads make sure that your placement is "above the fold" meaning veiwable upon landing without having to scroll down the page. When someone goes to that site,it counts as an impression. If your banner is below the fold and that person leaves the site without scrolling down the page, you have just paid for an impression but they never saw your banner!

TIP....when making your banner, keep in mind that you are trying for the click, not the sale. Design your banner in such a way that it simply entices the click.

Don't try to sell them your product with the banner just get them to click. Unlike PPC where you have to pay per click, banners are sold as CPM(cost per 1000 impressions).

The more clicks you get, the better the ratio. Standard is about 1/2 of 1 percent will click. So for 1000 impressions you should get about 5 clicks or visitors to your site.

The more clicks you get, the LESS each click costs. The usual going price is between $.50 - $1.00 per 1000 impressions equaling 10 - 20 cents per click.

WATCH OUT....somesites can receive 20,000 - 100,000 impressions in a day thus costing you upwards of $100.00a day for your traffic.

That being said, banners are also the only way to effectively get a few THOUSAND clicks a day! PPC just can't deliver that kind of traffic.

All in all, banner ads can end up being profitable for your site if you goabout it the right way. If you do decide to check out banner advertisement as amarketing avenue, be sure to keep the above tips in mind.

Making Money with Articles: Letting Others Use Your Articles

Let others use your articles, along with your byline which will tell visitors who wrote it and how they can contact you, on their website.

This will help to promote your own website and bring you in traffic through the search engine optimization and promotional efforts of others.

For you this means absolutely free marketing just for writing a quick article about a subject that you are already familiar with.

The more people who use your article as content on their website, the more potential traffic you will receive.

These webmasters will probably be using SEO techniques, banner exchanges, and possibly even a Pay-Per-Click campaign to get visitors to their affiliate site.

These are advertising methods that either take a lot of time or a lot of money and they will be absolutely free for you just because you placed your articles where others could use them.

There are many places on the Internet that offer to post your article so that others may view and/or use it.

My advice is to place your articles on every single one of these sites so that you can reach as many webmasters as possible.

One peice of software that will be the most important software in your arsonal of article submission is the Article Submitter Software by Brad Callen. Here's the best part......IT"S FREE!!!!

An absolutely great peice of software and it's no cost for the basic version! Go to Article Submission Software and pick up this beauty to make article submissions a lot easier for you and mega faster.

Free Article Submission Software Gets You TONS Of Quality, 1-way Links!

With the search engine evolving each and every day, it's absolutely critical to not fall into the trap of following the latest and greatest craze for ranking highly in the search engines.

Things such as cloaking, keyword stuffing, blog spamming etc. are things that worked at one time, but are definitely not something that will last in the long run.

Your website will either get banned for doing something like that, or you simply won't get ranked anywhere and your effort will be in vain.

With that said, now is the time to start taking your business seriously. There are legitimate ways to increase your search engine ranking that will always be effective at not only increasing your search engine ranking, but also at building your credibility in your chosen niche, generating quality leads to your business, and not to mention, getting your name and business in front of lots of people around the world.

What's this method I'm referring to? Article Submission. Yes, you heard me right... Article Submission really isn't anything shockingly new, but the problem up until now has been the fact that although submitting your articles to article directories was an incredible way to increase your search engine rankings, it took one heck of a long time to actually find these directories, and then fill in all of the required criteria for submission.

This is where the brand new, free software program created by Brad Callen and Bryxen Software, Inc. comes into play. This software will allow you to submit your articles to literally hundreds of popular article directories all over the world.

Only a few mouse clicks and you'll be able to instantly submit your articles. It's taken the tedious process of finding and filling out these submission forms, incredibly easy and fast.
To learn more about Article Submitter and how you can download a free copy, visit the link below:

But, please keep this to yourself, as I'd like to keep this our secret weapon :-)

Are you creating your own duplicate content?

This was sent to me from Michael & Steven Grzywacz, creators of DupeFreePro, a duplicate content prevention software. This is an excellent read.

Sounds crazy but it's possible you might be creating duplicates of your own content without even knowing it.
If the Search Engines see duplicates of your pages they automatically choose which page to rank and shove the rest in to their supplemental index (the black hole of Search Engine traffic).
It's important you understand how to avoid duplicating your own content so that you can stay in control of which of your pages rank in the Search Engines.
The two main possible causes for this are:
1) Duplicate Domain URL's2) Internal Duplicates
--------------------------------------------------Duplicate Domain URL's--------------------------------------------------
The Search Engines view all the following URL's as *separate* pages even though they all actually point to the same page...
http://yourdomain.com
http://yourdomain.com/
http://yourdomain.com/index.html
http://www.yourdomain.com
http://www.yourdomain.com/
http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html
If you (or others) are linking to your site using a variety of these different URL's you'll not only be diluting PR (Page Rank) on your site but you also stand the chance of having your content labelled as duplicate.
At the time of writing Google is known to be aware of this issue and are working to solve it. However, I urge you to not leave it to fate. Take control of the situation as soon as you can.
Fortunately the work around is very simple and only involves a small code to be placed in to your htaccess file on your webserver (this works on Apache servers only).
Jason Katzenback has created a video tutorial on the PortalFeeder Blog showing the code you need and how to use it. Check it out here:
http://portalfeeder.com/blog/?p=57
--------------------------------------------------Internal Duplicates--------------------------------------------------
Are you 100% certain you do not have duplicates of your own content within your own sites?
If you are using one of the popular free content management systems (i.e. WordPress) your site might already be suffering from this.
For example, WordPress the popular Blog management system, automatically creates archive and category pages on your Blog. The default settings of WordPress result in these archive and category pages containing duplicates of the exact same posts appearing elsewhere in your Blog.
When Google finds all the multiple versions of your post their bot tries to determine which page to rank and places all the rest in to the supplemental index.
This might not sound like a major problem because one way or another your content it still getting ranked but if it is left up to the Search Engine bots you may not get the page *you* want to rank.
Some content management systems create other kinds of internal duplicates such as different formats of the same page (i.e. PDF, text, word doc).
Perform the following Google search if you want to see how many pages your website has in the supplemental index:
site:www.yourdomain.com ***-view
(make sure you replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)
Any pages listed from this search will be pages of your website that Google has choose to move to their supplemental index. (You'll see the green text 'Supplemental Result' under each result).
Pages in the supplemental index are known to hardly ever get traffic if at all. This is until they move out of the supplemental index, however, many report this as hard to achieve.
The work around for this issue is to tell the Search Engine spiders to ignore specific locations on your website. This will enable you to control which pages will be indexed and ranked.
You can do this by adding the following code to a 'robots.txt' file at the root of your website:
User-agent:*Disallow: /example/directory/Disallow: /another/example/directory/Disallow: /one/more/example/directory/
The first part 'User-agent:*' causes the following statements to apply to all search engine bots that read the robots.txt file.
The 'Disallow: /.../' lines are where you list each directory location on your webserver that you want the Search Engine bots to ignore (i.e. NOT index).
So in our above example we are telling all search engine bots to*not* index any webpage or indexable file located in the three stated directory locations on our website.
Doing this correctly can really help you control which pages are chosen by the SE's to rank in their results.
If you're not sure how all this works please do take the time to understand the robots.txt properly before you implement it. Search Google for info on robots.txt and also check out the Wikipedia pagebelow:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots.txt
If you are putting in all the effort required to make sure your content is unique you really don't want to fall over at this last hurdle.
I hope if you weren't aware of these potential pitfalls before that you take the simple action necessary to ensure you don't fall victim to self-imposed duplicate content.
Talk soon,
Michael & Steven Grzywacz

What to do with the articles you've written

There are several ways to submit articles to the directories, my favorite is Submit Your Article

At submit your article they automatically submit to about 10 of the top traffic directories but the bonus kicker is when they Automatically submit your articles to thousands of publishers

They have publisher lists of around 10,000 per category. After you give them your article they send notices to the list and as long as your article is well written and of great value to their readers it gets picked up by many individual publishers. Within several weeks a Google search will show dozens of backlinks from the publishers that posted your article on their sites and blogs.

For the service performed, I feel the price of $37.00 per month is well worth it. Each month you are able to submit 8 different articles, preferably in at least 2 different categories. As they warn you not to submit more than once a week to any 1 category or the publishers on their list may not request your notices if you hammer them to often.

====================================

Brad Callen has a software for article submission if you prefer to do-it-yourself. A fairly robust software that with 1 click takes you to the directory, pre-fills your login info, 1 more click gets you into the submission area and pre-fills the required sections of title, description, keywords, body and resource box.

After you have checked each area visually for completion, 1 click and the article is submitted. Then it's off to the next directory with another click.

Of course you have to fill in all the areas first with the necessary info in the software which is copy and paste simple. The software saves all the info including login names and passwords (after you have gone to the directory the first time and set up an account).

Like I said IF you want to do-it-yourself, this is probably the best submission software out there. Yes you can get Article Submitter Pro and they claim a 1 click to submit to dozens of directories but I have manually submitted many articles to 60+ directories and let me tell you, if you get one little thing out of place.....BAM your article gets rejected and you will have to go in and manually fix the problems before they will approve it.

For this reason alone is why I like Brad Callen's submitter. It makes submitting as fast and as accurate as possible.

Of course if you want to try an automatic software I''l give you one on the freebies page of my site at www.topshelfarticles.com/Article_Help_Freebies.html , there are some pretty good resources in the freebies section and all I ask for is your name and email address but don't worry, to this date I have only sent a couple mailings. It's hard to do all this and go fishing too! (by the way, I just got back from a Canadian Walleye fishing trip that was very hard to leave)
